Thursday 8/31/23 Week 1, Session 3, 11:40 - 1:00 Maggie/Mary

I picked up Maggie today at around 11:30 and we headed to Lion’s Park in Monroe. We started the Longe line work in the alley created by trees and a fence. It was way too muddy so we moved out to the grass area in the shade. It is so different working Maggie than my little Molly! There is a definite learning curve to handling another dog. It took a few passes to get used to a bigger, more energetic dog. It went a little something like this.

After awhile we got more comfortable with one another.

After cool down, we did quiet time for 30 minutes. So sweet!

Just watching the kids play during recess.

And people pulling in and out of the parking area.

Then this happened. 😂 I think she was done!

Time to load up and head home.

When we got back, it was around 1:00. It was a fun afternoon. Maggie is a great dog!

Wednesday 8/30/23 Kim & Maggie

I dont hsve any pictures from today. I pick her up around 4:30. she was vet excited to see a person. very ancious to get out. I had to shut door in face several times before she would settle. once on leash she was fairly good not pulling to much.i had her sit at door and wait till I said lets go. She fit in my kennel but would put her front feet up but not jump in so i gave her a boost. She tried to turn around and come right back out. I was ready for her and shut the door. I left her leash on so when i got to park it was on when I opened the create. She also barged the door when I got to park to let her out. She remembered your lession with her in the morning Roxanne. She would go out in front a little ways and look back and check in. She never once tugged on me. I caught her a few times sniffing. The only thing Mary has to watch out for is taking het out and putying her in crate. i closed the door many times and said, wait when we got home she was glad to be there. She went right to her food bowl and licked it. A couple licks of water and into her crate. Over all she was very good, except for wanting to bumrudh the crate doors. Kim

A PERFECT training opportunity as Maggie is HIGHLY social and seems to enjoy people of all sizes.

Life can show up so very unexpected.

 HHPR Team & Mickie,

Sometimes God has a strange way (to us) of orchestrating our life's. And this is one of those times with Bob being injured and needing constant care, it is currently impossible for Mickie to train Maggie. But the HHPR Team is stepping into doing Maggie's FC on-leash training and her ecollar training.

* This benefits you Mickie as it gives you time to focus on Bob's healing.

* It benefits Maggie as she desperately needs the work and will do exceedingly well when we start her training tomorrow.

*The unexpected benefit is that each of you are going to have a new dog training experience.  This is a Compressed Training Program, none of you have seen or done this training before. It's what we used to do with Margot's Board'n'Train only we are not boarding Maggie. This is a lightning-fast training program and with HHPR Team all working together, it is possible to train Maggie through Week 6 in just 4 weeks.

This Compressed Program is possible ONLY with skilled KMODT handlers, more than one, working the learning dog 3-4 times a day.  Since KMODT is designed to benefit the learning dog, and since it is based on the dog's natural language, body language, the dog is capable of learning rapidly when worked consistently. This is what each of you will be doing, watching each other, and documenting what is taught, when, and by whom.

While the normal FC training material will be uploaded, we will be moving much faster through the material.  I will be explaining and teaching you as we go along.  For now, welcome to an intense Compressed Training Program. Watch and see what Maggie learns, she will amaze you.

More later.
