8-30-23 Maggie/Roxanne -Week 1, Session 1 Time = 10:48 am thru 12:40 pm

LL Session # 1

 Cool Down # 1 effort

Then we worked on Quiet Time after cooling Maggie off in the spigot at the park.  All was going well until recess let out-:)

A PERFECT training opportunity as Maggie is HIGHLY social and seems to enjoy people of all sizes.

SUCCESS!

The second Cool Down and she did MUCH better.

  1. HHPR - I would like you to document EACH Maggie training session and entitle it using this format, "8-30-23 Maggie/Roxanne -Week 1, Session 1 Time = 10:48 am thru 12:40 pm". VERY quickly, there are going to be multiple HHPR training sessions and I want each of you to quickly post any videos/photos and document what was done with Maggie. It is the only way each of us will be able to stay current with her training journey.

Maggie had a VERY good first session with me and got two excellent LL sessions. We did work on QT, she didn't get the entire 30 minutes, but she quickly yielded and laid down. It was a good start to her training.

*Do make sure each of you reinforce the "Wait" with getting out of her crate. For now, use "Let's Go" to move her from one place to another on leash. Do RATT as needed as she thinks she can bolt and that is not so. She does know the verbal "Sit" so use that for control when exiting her home, waiting to load in your car, exiting your vehicle and etc. I did start the Moving Sit with her also today, she got it lightning fast.

She's a smart dog, but fortunately, not anywhere near Hannah's level of drive and stubbornness. Maggie is easy to move as she has little muscle tone and is a lightweight. She is compliant as long as your mechanics are crisp, clear and clean. She catches on quickly.

Have fun with her, I think she's a blast to work!
